Valor Education Hires Chief Financial Officer and Chief Growth and Development Officer
Valor Expands Leadership Team to Prepare for Significant Growth
AUSTIN, TX (March 21, 2023) – Valor Education, which operates distinctive K-12 tuition-free classical charter schools in Texas in addition to offering a variety of programs through the Valor Institute, announced the addition of Chief Financial Officer Ramsey Margison and Chief Growth and Development Officer Ward Huseth to the organization’s executive team.
Margison and Huseth each bring extensive educational leadership experience to Valor as the organization continues to expand and respond to the demand for schools rooted in the classical liberal arts tradition that educate the whole person in authentic communities for a full human life.

Ramsey Margison comes to Valor after serving for over thirteen years with the Great Hearts Academies, most recently as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. As Valor’s CFO, his extensive experience overseeing budgeting, auditing, and preparation of financial statements will ensure the organization maintains its sound financial position. In addition, he will develop and implement financial strategies and processes to support the organization’s continuing growth and innovation.

Ward Huseth brings over twenty-two years of experience in educational organizations, ranging from early childhood to post-secondary education, including stints with the Charter School Growth Fund and Great Hearts Academies. Throughout his career, Huseth has focused on helping fast-growing organizations scale efficiently and sustainably. As Chief Growth and Development Officer, he will oversee the implementation of Valor’s growth strategy along with fundraising. Another key area of focus will be incorporating best practices and proven strategies for managing growth.
